Here are the IIT Indore placement statistics and the package offered to the MS Researcher CSE 2022-23 batch.
Overall, 6 out of 10 students are placed. It means placement for the IIT Indore for MS is 60%. (Rest of the students are not interested in the job as they are apparently going for higher studies like Ph.D.
There are a lot of opportunities through the GATE if you get a good rank. Even some foreign universities accept the GATE score for admission.
Here is my thought if you are thinking of joining college through the GATE.
Whether you should go for MS or MTech?
If you want to pursue post-graduation to get a good placement with a higher package, consider going for M.Tech. rather than M.S., You will find a better placement for MTech over MS.
If your aim is getting into research as a career, then only go for MS.
Many MS students get confused about whether they should go for placement or research. We all know, that MS is a research-based course. In a dicey situation, you have to take the time for both research and placement preparation. Balancing both research and placement preparation is not so easy.
Considering the placement in other IITs and NITs, placement in the IIT Indore is still okay. Before you make your decision consider, the IIT Indore package and all the above points mentioned, and then only take the admission.
