Summer Internship in IIT, NIT and IIIT Institutes for 2020
Here is the list of internship opportunities in IIT, IIIT, NIT and other tops institute colleges in India.
We are updating this list by adding new internship programs as soon as they are released. Meanwhile, you can join our group to get the notification for each upcoming internship.
1. IIT Kharagpur:
You have to fill a simple form with all your personal, educational detail. You also have to add your area of interest for internship and duration for which you will be available for the internship.
After filling this form, complete email verification.
In some cases, they also provide stipends.
Note: This internship program does not guarantee you admission. It purely depends on the IIT Kharagpur faculty. If they are interested to take you, they will contact you via email.
2. IIT Delhi:
There is no direct link to apply for an internship in IIT Delhi. You can visit the contact page and drop your email to the respective authorities showing your interest in the internship program.
If they have any vacancies, they will revert back to your email.
3. IIT Roorkee:
They call it Spark. Interestingly, this is a paid internship and you will be paid weekly (Rs 2500 (INR)/week).
You will get the opportunity of working on the funded and real-time project.

4. IIT Bombay:
IIT Bombay is one of the best institutes in India.
All the works done under this internship program will be released as open-source.
Unfortunately, you will not get paid for this internship. ANd you have to pay for your own expenses during your stay at the IIT Bombay campus.

5. IIT Guwahati:
They offer a summer internship program for college students. To apply for this internship, you should complete your 3rd year (six semesters) of B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering.
You can maximize your chances by contacting faculty members of the department.
6. IIT Gandhinagar: SUMMER RESEARCH INTERNSHIP PROGRAM (SRIP)
With this internship, you will get a direct opportunity to work on an on-going research project. Along with that, you can get good exposure for getting mentorship from the best IIT faculties.
If you are interested in research, nothing can be a better platform to start with.
7. IIT Bhubaneswar:
Along with Computer Science specialization, they offer an internship in various other fields.
They offer an internship program in the fields of School of Basic Sciences, Earth, Ocean & Climate Sciences, Electrical Sciences, Infrastructure, Mechanical Sciences, Humanities, Social Sciences and Management, and Minerals, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering.

8. IIT Palakkad:
The program is for six weeks. With this program, you can expect to get hands-on research training with a variety of hardware and software analysis tools.
Both undergraduate and postgraduate students are eligible to apply for this internship program.
Your selection will be made on the basis of academic record, aptitude for research, accomplishments, and area(s) of research interest. So while registration, feel all the details carefully.

9. ISI Calcutta: Summer Internship in Cryptology
It is a research internship program in Cryptology and Security for senior undergraduate and fresh post-graduate students.
Special things about this internship program- the internship is supported by Microsoft Research India.
Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, Mathematics, and Statistics background students are eligible to apply for this program.
For selected candidates, the stipend will be provided to cover the costs for on-campus accommodation and boarding along with your traveling fares.
10. NIT Rourkela:
They offer an internship in almost all the engineering specialization including Computer Science and Information Technology.
This will be 45-60 days internship program. As per the mentioned, they are going to offer an internship to 50 students. So getting there will not be much difficult if you have good academic records.

11. IIIT Allahabad:
This internship program is driven by the faculties of the IIIT Allahabad College Institute.
To apply for this internship you have to write Statement of Purpose (SOP) You also have to mention the faculties (under whom you want to pursue your internship) in your application. So go through all the faculties along with their specialization.

12. IIST (Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology):
This internship is for Indian students as well as abroad students. They offer two types of internship – summer and winter internship.
Selected students will get the opportunity to work with IIST faculty and other IIST researchers.
13. IITM (IIT Madras):
IIT Madras is offering a Summer Fellowship Programme 2020. It will be an internship for two months, probably from 20th May 2020 to 19th Jully 2020.
Eligible candidates: 3rd year of B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. (Engg) or 3rd or 4th year of Integrated M.E./M.Tech. programme, 1st year of ME/M.Tech/M.Sc./M.A, MBA students are eligible to apply. Candidate should have outstanding academic performance.
Stipend: Selected candidates will get the stipend of Rs. 6000/- per month.

14. IIIT Delhi
IIIT Delhi is offering internship opportunities in various engineering streams. They have a lot of internship projects. You can check the list of projects on their website. You can apply to a maximum three projects. So, select any three projects related to your skills and area of interest.
Duration: Duration for the internship ranges from one month to three months based on the project. (If you are applying for the project which has three months of duration, check with your college authorities whether they allow you for three months internship or not.)
Stipend: Selected students will get a stipend of Rs. 5000/- per month.
How to Maximize Chances of getting selected for Internship?
- Follow all the details and steps for registration.
- If the faculties are mentioned on their internship recruitment portal, try to get in contact with them by sending an email.
- Keep your resume ready with all standard formats. Mention your expertize and interests based on the internship field and subjects.
- Create separate SOP for different internships showing your interest in their program.
